Chinese LanternsNov 05, 2007
By John M. Styler They are great for decoration BUT very invasive. They send shoots underground and take over the garden

It has never bloomed! I am disappointed. I put the seeds in good soil during Spring time, but not even one ever came out.

Bogus seeds!!!Dec 12, 2010
By Marnie Ware I bought these and put them in a very deep pot with the best soil, pretty much full sun and then nurtured them lovingly since I really am fond of this plant and wanted to have them for fall. I planted them in the pot instead of the garden because I know they're invasive. They are also SO expensive from the florist! Anyway, it became clear eventually that I was probably given bum seeds, or seeds that were NOT Chinese lanterns. The only thing that grew out of that pot were some gangly looking weeds. Believe me I waited and waited just to be sure, but the plants bore no resemblance to Chinese Lanterns in any way. Sure, some insects or birds might have eaten the actual seeds I suppose, but considering the fact that this a hardy invasive species, I doubt it. I was really disappointed. Blah!

By Gitona I bought these seeds with plans to grow them around some stumps but, due to my forgetful nature, ended up giving them as a gift to a friend for her (forgotten)birthday! She will keep me updated and then I will update this!! : D
