Bitter Melon and Diabetes !Apr 01, 2011
By Wolf This plant is used to treat type 2 diabetes and works just fine. This is the same common type used in China, Taiwan and Japan as a common food and treatment for diabetes and has worked well for me in the past. I was glad to find a source to get the same kind I eat overseas . It can be cooked in stir frys Soups and with eggs . I give it 5 stars but if your not use to it I would suggest eating it while its on the young side because it will be less bitter at that time.

By moon I soaked them in water, then put in paper towel and placed near my electric ceramic heater to keep them at about 75 F . All of them germinated well. I am going to have bitter melon vines this summer .
