Best garden tool I have ever owned (aside from my iron post-hole digger that no one seems to want to keep after borrowing). Solidly built. Stainless business end is ideal for all applications, thick enough to make short work of all scooping chores, while light enough to match all spade items in my experience. Soft handle is remarkably sun tolerant (2+ years in far-west texas with no degradation as of yet). Gross serration and point have not failed. Remarkably and unexpectedly ergonomic, even after hours of planting and shaping. Made in USA with recycled materials (in part). I think it makes an ideal gift among "unique" gardening enthusiasts. I do recommend a strap for the large handle eye.

Found this tool extremely helpful in getting under and digging up bulbs. The serrated edges were wonderful to have when digging up bulbs that were surrounded by roots.
