These are so great. They sprouted quickly and are growing like mad!Jan 09, 2010
By Bold Consumer The Pattypan Squash seeds sprouted and grew well for me. I now have a large number of small Pattypan squash getting very close to being ready for harvest. I definitely can recommend them!
I probably took more steps than were necessary because I was in the mood to be really picky. They probably would have grown well if I had just tossed them in the soil and given them the proper amounts of sun, heat, and water.
However, I soaked the seeds, planted them in a heated, self-watering tray, and they sprouted. I transferred them to an Earth Box located in my greenhouse, since it's Winter, and they are growing beautifully! I'm very pleased. I feel like a farmer. Just kidding about that, but it does feel great to grow something from seeds. I'll be getting these again.

By Karren Ford I have looked for Summer Squash (Pattypan Squash) in my grocery store for over five years. For some reason none of my local stores carry them anymore. Even though I've never grown anything from seed, I decided to grown my own. It's been about one month since I planted the seeds, and they're thriving very well. I love that the seeds had the color of the squash painted on them, so that I could tell which color squash would be grown. This made it easy for me to separate them and grow them in groups of color.
I'm looking forward to having some delicious Summer Squash for the first time in years. And I grew them!!!

This squash was delicious. I planted it in the Spring and had squash all summer, right up until the October frost.
