Please start eggplants indoors. (We always send along growing instructions) Wait until your temperature stays above 70 degrees before you plant them out. They want lots of light, heat and food. Pick often. When the fruits are glossy they are ready. If you let them stay on the plant past their due date you will end up with bitter fruit. Eggplants have very little flavor so what you add to the dish will come out as the main flavor. You must like to cook to grow eggplants. No eggplants in our garden.
